Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. She is most famous for her role as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years, before attempting her luck in TV and films. Anna had her first big part as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. She also guest-starred on the show. was on Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. In fact, it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she landed the role of The Practice. In 2000, she was given the role of Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was the character she played as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film, and other movies were also starring her. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. The actress, in 2022, also starred in a four-part podcast of audio plays called Numbered Days. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's life.
